Do Georgians need ETIAS?
Yes
Yes. Georgian citizens with a biometric passport are visa-exempt for short stays, so once ETIAS launches Georgians will need an ETIAS authorisation for the Schengen area.

Georgia's citizens have travelled visa-free to the Schengen area since March 2017 with biometric passports, and that visa-free status is why ETIAS will apply. ETIAS is an online authorisation, not a visa.
Georgia is outside Schengen, so your days at home are not counted - the 90/180 rule applies only once you enter the Schengen area. ETIAS does not change the 90-days-in-180 allowance.
A biometric passport is required
Georgia's visa exemption applies to holders of biometric Georgian passports. Interestingly, Georgia is famous for its own generous open-border policy at home (many nationalities can stay there for up to a year), but that has no bearing on the Schengen 90/180 rule, which still caps your time in Europe. Keep your passport valid for at least three months beyond your departure.
How Georgians will apply
When ETIAS launches, Georgians will apply online on the official EU portal, pay €20 (free under 18 or over 70), and receive an authorisation linked to their passport for up to 3 years. It is not a visa - see what ETIAS is and how it differs from a visa.
ETIAS gets Georgians to the border; it does not extend the stay. Check how many days are left with the free 90/180 calculator.
